Beneath The Surface is inspired by the science and technology of NASA’s Juno spacecraft which will investigate Jupiter’s origins and the inner workings of the gas giant. I collaborated with Dan Goods, JPL’s Visual Strategist to create an otherworldly experience that interprets the mission’s research goals and technology for the general public.

The installation features a room filled with fog made by ultrasonic misters, a series of projections, cell phones, and sounds which drive an infrared lightning storm that is invisible to the human eye but viewable through most mobile device cameras.
